Set up your modem for optimal performance and reliability

Initial Setup

Follow these steps to properly set up your modem and get your internet connection working.

Unpack Your Modem

Remove your modem from the packaging and ensure all components are present.

Connect to Power

Plug the power adapter into your modem and connect it to a power outlet.

Connect to NBN™ or Fixed Wireless

Connect the ethernet cable from your NBN™ or Fixed Wireless connection point to the modem.

  • • Connect ethernet cable to WAN/Internet port

  • • Check for any loose connections

Wait for Connection

Understanding Modem Lights

Your modem's lights provide important information about the status of your connection. Learn what each light means.

Light Indicators

Power Light

Solid Green - Normal operation
Off - No power supply
Flashing - Starting up

Internet Light

Solid Green - Connected to internet
Flashing - Connecting to network
Off - No internet connection

WiFi Light

Solid Green - WiFi enabled

No Internet Light

  • • Verify your service is activated

Flashing Internet Light

The internet light keeps flashing and won't turn solid green.

Solutions:

  • • Wait 5-10 minutes for connection to establish
  • • Check NBN™ or Fixed Wireless connection is properly connected
  • • Restart modem if flashing continues
  • • Contact support if issue persists

No WiFi Signal

WiFi light is off or devices can't connect to WiFi.

Modem Won't Turn On
